Please read carefully. By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "the client", "the traveller") and Safari Yetu Adventures Limited, a company registered in Kenya with its offices at Cianda House, Koinange Street, Nairobi, Kenya ("Safari Yetu", "we", "us", "our").

They apply to your use of safariyetuadventures.com and to all quotations, bookings, and travel services we arrange.

2. Definitions

3. Bookings and Contract

An enquiry, quotation, or itinerary proposal does not constitute a booking. A contract is formed only when:

The lead traveller must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for ensuring all members of the party are aware of and accept these Terms.

4. Prices, Payment, and Currency

5. Cancellations, Amendments, and Refunds

Cancellation and amendment terms depend on the suppliers involved. As a general guide:

When you cancelTypical charge
More than 60 days before departureDeposit retained (or per supplier terms)
30–60 days before departure50% of the total trip cost
14–29 days before departure75% of the total trip cost
Less than 14 days before departure / no-show100% of the total trip cost

Specific bookings (e.g. peak-season, fly-in, or third-party operated trips) may carry stricter terms, which we will communicate before you confirm. Amendment requests are subject to availability and may incur supplier fees. Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take time to clear.

6. Changes and Force Majeure

We may make reasonable changes to an itinerary where necessary. In the event of events beyond our control — including but not limited to natural events, weather, strikes, civil unrest, pandemics, government action, or supplier failure — we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternatives. Where significant changes are unavoidable, our liability is limited as described in Section 9.

7. Passports, Visas, and Travel Documents

You are solely responsible for holding a valid passport (typically with at least six months' validity), any required visas, and any other travel documents. We may provide general guidance but do not accept liability for denied entry or boarding due to missing or invalid documents.

8. Health, Insurance, and Safety

9. Liability

We act as an agent and organiser and are not the direct provider of accommodation, transport, or activities delivered by Suppliers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.

10. Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking where a traveller's behaviour is unlawful, unsafe, or causes disturbance to others, guides, wildlife, or property. No refund will be given in such circumstances.

11. Minors

Where minors travel, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf. Certain activities have age restrictions imposed by Suppliers.

12. Complaints

If something is not as expected, please notify your guide or our team immediately so we can address it during your trip. If a concern remains unresolved, contact us at info@safariyetuadventures.com within 28 days of your return and we will respond promptly.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Safari Yetu Adventures Limited and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

14. Website Use

We aim to keep information accurate, but itineraries, prices, and availability are indicative and may change. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. Third-party links are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your booking. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the current Terms.
